i have been thinking about starting to do something productive with my spare time...well, something that i can make money off of. for example, my friend julia-the furniture lady. or my friend, sarah-the sewing/headband lady. i mean, these women are AMAZING. but, i can't sew a button, and my furniture would be a joke. so, what am i good at? weirdly enough, making i-movies. i've made one of sofia, one for our wedding, one for our one year anniversary, also for my 6th grade class, and family reunions, etc. i had to take technology classes while teaching, and they taught me a lot about i-movie.
so, i want your sincere opinion. i would love to work with photographers and have this be part of a package deal they sell. i'm going to put an example of a quick i-movie i put together of our wedding. would you want one of these as part of a package deal with your professional wedding pictures? am i being dumb here, or could i really do this?? how/where do i even get started?

I say YES! I would have loved something like this but it was always out of our price range. One thing to think about...maybe become a "videographer" you know take videos of their wedding day and compile that. More than pictures in video form I wish we had a really amazing "home video" of our wedding. Maybe talk to Heather for ideas. :) Can't wait to see what you do!

ReplyDeleteI agree! I would have loved something like this of our wedding and I like the idea that Julia had of taking some video too. How much are you thinking of charging? Maybe I can have you do one of these with the pictures I have of my wedding and I can give it to Michael (actually more for me) as an anniversary gift? I love you Jackie!!! You're super creative...I just look at other people's blogs and envy their creativity. : )

ReplyDeleteyou have a gift girl. seriously, like i said at the reunion - you are good at everything you do. for sure do this! you'll be a hot little ticket. just make sure you get a new memory card before your first gig :) but seriously why weren't you in the fam for matt and i's wedding so you could make one for us? maybe for our 6th reunion i'll hire you to put something together. miss you dear.

ReplyDeleteYou should do it, people would love it!! Another thing I would pay you for, is singing lessons. Well maybe not for me, because it safe to say its a little to late for me. But I would enroll my little girl if you offered voice lessons. And if you offered tutoring I would pay you for that too, since I am sure you were a wonderful school teacher. And..... I would pay you for every other talent you have Jackie, because you are so talented. I hope you video works out. It would be such a fun and creative outlet.

ReplyDeletei didn't even have to watch this to know you could do it and charge people, i did of course watch it though. i loved it and i love all the reunion one's you make too, i would even want this type of video from family holiday get togethers too.
